  • Go Ahead! Get Mad at This Post! I Want You To . . .
Posted on Tuesday, September 27th, 2016 | Filed under Blog | Tagged: bring it on, easily offended, offending Christians, persecuted church, persecution, preparing for persecution, sensitive Christians, sensitive to the Holy Spirit, taking offense, witnessing for Jesus

No one should have to walk on eggshells around people who can walk on water. That’s what I think. There are Christians who are sensitive to the Holy Spirit and then there are touchy religious people who take offense at every turn. Which we are, is largely up to us. I once met with a group …[ read more ]

  • The Secret You’ll Hate Me for Telling You
Posted on Monday, August 15th, 2016 | Filed under Blog | Tagged: faithful in small things, hardship, obedience, persecuted church, persecution, sacrifice, spiritual discipline, strength

I’ve been thinking about the sacrifices of persecuted Christians in other countries you know, in between television shows and restaurant outings. In wondering about them and what makes them capable of laying down their lives, I’ve also wondered (during breaks from social media and watching the latest Youtube video) what gets in our way that …[ read more ]

Outside of this blog, I’m not very brave. It bothers me when people don’t like me or misunderstand something I’ve said or disapprove of my opinion. I know I have a high tolerance for pain, but if someone made me sit in an uncomfortable chair in a room with nothing to read or do and …[ read more ]

Posted on Monday, August 1st, 2016 | Filed under Blog | Tagged: compromised freedom, discrimination against Christians in America, faith at work, faith on the job, freedom of religion in America, freedom of speech, lies about Christians, persecution, religious discrimination, religious freedom

At job interviews, I’m prepared to answer just about anything and you should too. If you have been through numerous interviews like me, you’ll know that there is pretty much a set of standard questions that you’re going to be asked, which is why for these types of questions regarding your skills and experiences it …[ read more ]

  • Persecution Comes to the Strong, the Weak, and the Fake
Posted on Monday, February 15th, 2016 | Filed under Blog | Tagged: are you ready for persecution, celebrity Christians, going deeper with Jesus, heroes of the faith, ISIS, Kim Jong-un, North Korea, persecuted Christians, persecution, praying for the persecuted church, Saeed Abedini, stronger faith, will you survive persecution

In America, we don’t yet have a practical grasp of persecution. We don’t live daily in fear of our lives so for most of us, persecution is still a conversation we have over dinner tables and in small groups over Starbucks. We revealed our naivete recently by praying fervently for the release of Pastor Saeed Abedini but then …[ read more ]

Lori, Our Lord never ceases to amaze.. you have succeeded in disturbing this Hobbit! I have been struggling with spiritual apathy and indifference recently and reading your witty, convicting, engaging, infuriating writings has helped me to realize that I am in good company. They have also given me the kick-start I need to get off my laurels! Keep looking up..keep going on for the Lord dear sister-in-Christ!
