  • Turn the Radio – Off?
Posted on Saturday, February 4th, 2017 | Filed under Blog | Tagged: enjoying the silence, how to deal with all the good choices, sabbath rest, seeking God in the silenc, too many choices

Driving home from a breakfast date today, I tuned my radio to the local Christian radio station. (That’s right. It’s Rhode Island so I’m only aware of the one.) Here in the rural area of RI, it’s not uncommon to pick up one or two stations at a time on one dial location and that’s …[ read more ]

Ever feel like you’re never enough? I live in a house where many of the shelves go up to the ceiling. The rest of my family is tall. They put things away in places that don’t seem that high to them but they really are. I feel like I’m always reaching. I feel like that …[ read more ]

Did you ever start reading the Bible and just get really, really tired? Did you ever keep trying to read and trying to connect with God but just end up feeling more and more as if the words made no sense? Did you ever read God’s word and it looked like this: “Blah, blah, blah, …[ read more ]

She was right. I wax poetic about facing disaster and persecution without fear but send me on …[ read more ]

Posted on Saturday, June 26th, 2010 | Filed under Blog | Tagged: Forgotten Baby Syndrome, Mark 2:27-28, sabbath rest, taking a day of rest, taking a nap

Sometimes I forget things. Everyone does, right? But I’ve never forgotten my baby. Yesterday, I finished posting my blog about Green-Light Fever and I took a break to read the news on my Google homepage. I was shocked by an article about the dramatic rise of accidental deaths of children in overheated cars. Among the …[ read more ]

Lori, Our Lord never ceases to amaze.. you have succeeded in disturbing this Hobbit! I have been struggling with spiritual apathy and indifference recently and reading your witty, convicting, engaging, infuriating writings has helped me to realize that I am in good company. They have also given me the kick-start I need to get off my laurels! Keep looking up..keep going on for the Lord dear sister-in-Christ!
