  • Hell is Not a Parlor Game
Posted on Thursday, August 8th, 2013 | Filed under Blog | Tagged: hell, hell is not a game, nothing funny about hell, who goes to hell, who is in hell

I don’t think questions about who has gone to hell should be a parlor game. God, alone, knows the end to each of our stories – as the author of our faith – He holds the ending in His hand and it’s not my job to speculate about the final destination for Mother Theresa or …[ read more ]

  • Hell Was Not My Idea
Posted on Tuesday, August 6th, 2013 | Filed under Blog | Tagged: does hell exist, hell, Ravi Zacharias, theories about hell, why Christians don't talk about hell anymore

I didn’t invent hell and I have no power to send anyone there. That’s a big reason why I don’t raise the topic with people. Because, as soon as I bring it up, someone accuses me of having some emotional investment in their eternal punishment or of condemning them to damnation when none of that …[ read more ]

Posted on Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 | Filed under Blog | Tagged: am I going to hell, Elaine and Puddy discuss hell, hell, is there a place of eternal damnation, Seinfeld, who goes to hell

I guarantee that you know someone who is going to hell. Do you ever think about that? I guess I’m not done with this topic so if it freaks you out, you might try popping in sometime next week but this week we’re going to chat about hell. (Sort of, my version of Shark Week.) …[ read more ]

  • Today Hell is Suddenly All the Rage – Have You Heard the News? Today Americans Believe in Hell!
Posted on Monday, May 2nd, 2011 | Filed under Blog | Tagged: Ezekiel 33:11, hell, Is Osama bin Laden in hell?, Osama Bin Laden, Osama bin Laden is dead, Osama is in hell, who is going to hell?

Have you noticed how many Americans suddenly believe in hell this morning? Only last week, Rob Bell’s book, Love Wins, was all the rage. Believing that “We all get to heaven in the end” was de rigueur. Surely, since God is love, He would never send anyone to hell. Isn’t that what we thought yesterday? …[ read more ]

  • You SHOULD Feel Bad! (or Why Is It Good to Feel Bad?)
Posted on Tuesday, March 8th, 2011 | Filed under Blog | Tagged: 2 Timothy 3:1-5, are people going to hell, guilt, hell, leprosy, remorse, seared conscience, shame

“I can’t believe that God will make people go to hell if they don’t choose to follow Jesus.” The twenty-something woman in my Bible study voiced a concern many others had voiced. “Well, how do you think He should respond to people who choose to reject Him and live any way they please in this …[ read more ]

Lori, Our Lord never ceases to amaze.. you have succeeded in disturbing this Hobbit! I have been struggling with spiritual apathy and indifference recently and reading your witty, convicting, engaging, infuriating writings has helped me to realize that I am in good company. They have also given me the kick-start I need to get off my laurels! Keep looking up..keep going on for the Lord dear sister-in-Christ!
