We Live in the Mystery

bible-1136784_640We live in the mystery.

You and I.

“Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel

and the preaching of Jesus Christ,

according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages”

All of us, all, were appointed to breathe and bleed in this age.

but has now been disclosed
and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations,

This is our time, the time of the mystery revealed and
released

at work in us and through us,
for us and in spite of us.

according to the command of the eternal God,
to bring about the obedience of faith—
to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.” Romans 16:25-27

The time of hoofbeats and heartbeats,
signs and spectacles,
falling stars and rising waters
racing time and ruined lives
reclaimed, redeemed, reborn, restored, renewed.
Live these days with hearts wide open,

tear a vein, baby, let it flow, lifeblood streaming live with the message coded into our newborn DNA,
royal blood, transfused by our adoption into His family,

Storm the gates of every day with
one hand raised to heaven and the other caressing the hilt of the sword
in the palm of your unscarred hand.

Lay it down, lay it all down, run straight for the prize without hesitation or pause,
withholding nothing for all, all will be ours when we arrive at the
Door.

“And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place,

Miracles and majesty are our birthright, the stuff of our every day

we can move mountains and free souls half way across the planet before

our gospel-strapped feet hit the wooden planked floor.

that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us,

What others call reality,

we know as a passing shadow,

a prelude to eternity,
a foretaste of the magnificence for which we were imagined
before the light burst forth from
the Word
who spoke us into existence.

for “‘In him we live and move and have our being’” Acts 17:26b-28

You know these words are true

every synapse of your mind is snapping to life
connecting every fiber, every nerve;

the bowels of your being testify to you
screaming like a madman in the square,
a whirling dervish in your solar plexus,
ululating like a veiled warrior maiden sitting atop the white horse of your understanding

that life is so much more than you allow it to be

and every moan and sigh that escapes from you
is the demand of your unfinished opus

reaching the crescendo
of rapture, of apocalypse, of Armageddon, of arrival

in His sweet arms breathing air your soul was fashioned to inhale
lying down in a room prepared for you
after dining at the table set before the foundation of the earth.

“When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ,

We live in the mystery.

which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.

You and I.

All of us, all, were appointed to breathe and bleed in this age.

This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.” Ephesians 3:4-6

This is our time, the time of the mystery revealed and
released
at work in us and through us,
for us and in spite of us.

For,“Yet a little while, and the coming one will come and will not delay;

What others call reality,
we know as a passing shadow,
a prelude to eternity,

but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”

Storm the gates of every day with
one hand raised to heaven and the other caressing the hilt of the sword
in the palm of your unscarred hand.

But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.” Hebrews 10:37-39

Lay it down, lay it all down, run straight for the prize without hesitation or pause
withholding nothing for all, all will be ours when we arrive at the
Door.

We live in the mystery.

What’s holding you back?

Let it go.

Wow! This blog is a reminder, an encouragement, a poem, an explanation, a nudge. Different from your usual but I found it thought-provoking and read it twice. MOMMA

    This is poetry.
You are so gifted and I am so grateful that you are using your talent to faith and for all of us.
